Mary Queen "Queenie" Williams, daughter of the late Willis and Iola Lipscomb was born in Halifax County, Virginia on September 18, 1934. As a youngster the family moved to Norfolk in 1942.
Mary graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1952. She married Cameron Manuel Sr., in 1957. She married James Williams in 1971. Mary became a school bus driver in 1974 and retired in 1996.
She became a member of St. Mark RZUA Church at an early age. She served faithfully as a member of the Chancel Choir, Deaconess Board, Annie Black Missionary Circle, Women's Club and in Early Morning Worship Services.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Cameron Manuel, Dale Manuel, Sean Williams; one daughter Shirley Rodgers; five grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; two sisters Daisey Breathewaite, Betty Lambright; one brother, Willis Lipscomb; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.
Mary was predeceased by two daughters, Zona Foster and Cynthia Heyward.
