Today we celebrate the "HOMEGOING" of our Brother. Although our hearts are saddened, we find comfort in believing that he is resting in the arms of our Savior.
Brother Ruben T. Edmond became a member of this church family on February 9, 1975 under the pastorate of the late Dr. H.W. B. Walker, and continued his faithful walk under the pastorates of Revered Larry Chase and Dr. Geoffrey V. Guns. He attended worship services regularly until service, greeting everyone who came in.
Brother Edmond was a faithful and dedicated "doorkeeper" for Christ. He served diligently in the Ushers' Ministry of Second Calvary as a member of the Male Usher's Ministry, as Assistant Head Usher and for many years as the Head Usher. He leavers a legacy of devoted leadership to the Pastor's Aide Auxiliary and the Pastor's Council. He served as a member of the Calling Committee, Church Anniversary Committee, and the Church Fundraiser Committee.
We will sorely miss our Brother, but we give thanks to the Lord for the time Brother Edmond spent with us. The officers and members extend heartfelt condolences to the family. May our Lord comfort and strengthen you during this difficult time.
""Praise be to the god and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts as in our trouble."
-I Corinthians 1:3-4
